![]() What you should pay attention to when choosing a dredging pump: material to be pumped, diesel or electric power required, engine power, pump performance data and more. At CDP we have various dredging pumps for sale from selective brands. Most standard dredges are designed and equipped with an optimally sized dredge pump to achieve an overall productivity range. The overall performance of a dredge pump is predictable, despite a complex internal flow pattern. Certain models can produce exhaust pressures up to 260 m (80 ft).ĥ. In ideal conditions, a dredge pump can generate fluid acceleration greater than the speed of its fastest moving component.Ĥ. A dredge pump is designed to move a large amount of liquid and solids.ģ. Cutter suction dredgers are typically equipped with a hull mounted dredge pump with the center of the impeller located at or below the waterline for further production and improved suction efficiency.Ģ. At the suction line, this vacuum picks up the slurry and transports the material through the discharge line. ![]() The impeller is considered the core of a dredge pump and is similar to a fan that pushes air out and creates a centrifugal suction force. The dredge pump contains a pump housing and an impeller. The pump must handle dredging of various shapes and sizes and allow it to slide through the pump so that it stops as little as possible. A dredge pump is designed to suck sediment, debris and other harmful materials from the surface bottom into a suction line and transfer the material through a pipeline to a discharge site.
